Snoop Dogg: Twitter ‘Changed” the Music Industry

Twitter has changed the face of the music industry for the better, according to rapper Snoop Dogg, who credits the micro-blog for sustaining his presence in the business, reports All Twitter.

The hip hop icon,who has more than three million followers, said of Twitter:

“I feel it’s the number one key in music right now.”

“Having that relationship with fans where it’s not based on your record label, it’s based on you. When you are tweeting, it’s not about what label you’re on, it’s about you dealing with your fans directly,” he told All Twitter.

He emphasized the importance of keeping in touch with “the people who make you who you are” as a recording artiste, and that continuous tweets have allowed him to stay relevant to his fanbase.
